Cnik are a relatively new business and as such our permanent employee base is small although we have access to some good sub-contractors.  As we grow and take on new work we will take on additional permanent employees; always looking for a high standard of professionalism and experience whilst also continuing their professional development.

Nigel Swain
IT Consultant / Business Delivery Manager

Nigel is an experienced Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (IS), Knowledge Management (KM), Information Security (InfoSec), Business Continuity and Project Manager (PM) within Small and Medium sized businesses.  Businesses can take advantage of this range of experiences and knowledge thus enabling them to make better decisions and to take advantage of the IT, IS and KM systems available.

Nigel specialises in Microsoft® technologies and has a wide knowledge their application in infrastructure and IS projects.  He is an MCP, Small Business Server Specialist and an MCTS in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007).

Nigel can also act as a time-shared or Interim IT Director / IT Manager if there is a short term need to fill a gap or if a company does not require such a position staffed on a full time basis.  The IT Director or IT Manager role provides a strategic view and set of competencies that allows an organisation to plan for and take best advantage of IT and IS resources.
