Hardware and Software Supply
As part of an integrated service Cnik can advise on and supply hardware or software for desktops, servers and network devices. Cnik will assess the clients needs and recommend the most appropriate hardware for the clients unique situation. Where the hardware is supplied as part of an implementation undertaken by Cnik then it is supplied at cost from the supplier.
Network Infrastructure installation, support, analysis and development
Cnik can provide services to ensure your network infrastructure is implemented and operates efficiently. Networks can often have bottlenecks where a restriction in data flow can degrade overall system performance and need to be resolved in order to allow the business to operate effectively. Cnik predominately recommend Cisco products for new network hardware as they are clearly a secure and reliable product with good support. Business Continuity Health Check
With more and more responsibility being put on Company Directors for ensuring that their companies are properly protected from potential disasters we have put together a service which provides a review of a company's contingency strategy in the unplanned event of business disruption to your voice and data services. When did you last check your data restore process?
The standards and best practices for Business Continuity are detailed ISO 27002 (chapter 14) and BS 25999 and although they adopted more by bigger organisations they apply equally to Small and Medium sized businesses. They are a good guide to follow to make sure your business is best able to survive in the case of a disaster and also a good demonstration to partners or auditors that you have considered your business continuity precautions to a good level.
IT Software and Hardware Audit
Where is everything you've paid for? IT hardware and software can be expensive so you have to make best use of it and it need to be accounted for properly. Cnik will always carry out a hardware and software audit before we can accurately quote for an Annual Maintenance Contract but this service is also available to companies that just want to make sure they are making best use of their assets and that they are compliant with the software licensing laws.
Hosting Microsoft SharePoint Sites
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0) can both be hosted externally to your organisation, like many other products. You could have your Intranet or team collaboration site hosted on hardware that you are not responsible for maintaining and free yourself from the cycles of upgrades, service packs and patches.

The range of data communications available to a small or medium sized business can be quite confusing especially with the emerging technologies of new types of broadband (ADSL), SDSL, leased lines, and technologies like Voice over IP (VoIP) and unified communications (UC).
