We are a registered Microsoft Partner, a qualified Microsoft Small Business Specialist, a Cisco Select Certified Partner, and a VMware VIP Professional Partner. Our core competencies include the Microsoft based server technologies such as Exchange Server and SQL Server, Cisco networking equipment including routers and firewalls, VMware and Hyper-V for virtualisation, and the third-party products that support systems such as selected Anti-virus and Disaster Recovery products. For hardware we will normally recommend and support products from either HP Compaq or Dell for Servers or Desktops; HP, Dell or Lenovo for laptops; and mainly Cisco for networking equipment. These are recommendations for supplying equipment although we will support most hardware manufactures for pre-installed hardware. Our IT Support service can provide all the functions needed to support the day to day running of your IT system. When you experience an issue with a piece of computer equipment, simply call or email our help desk and the problem will be solved; either remotely (if at all possibly) or with a visit to the premises. There are three main option for contracting IT Support with Cnik but if these do not meet your needs please contact us for a tailored solution.
Each annual
support contract is tailored to the requirements of the customer
with consideration being given to the number of staff at the
customer premises, the complexity of the IT infrastructure, the
individual components of the infrastructure and the response times
or SLA that the customer requires.
This is the most cost effective support arrangement with the
lowest effective rates of charge.
All support hours are logged in order to provide a basis for
adjustments at contract renewal.
The contract will commence on receipt of a signed copy of the
contract/purchase order at which time an invoice will be issued for
payment with 30 days.
If the customer
is not able to commit to an Annual Support Contract then they may
pre-purchase a bank of support hours.
Savings can be made by purchasing a larger number of hours.
The customer will receive a monthly statement of the hours
spent on the contract, the hours remaining, and an estimate of when
the hours will be exhausted.
The standard rates of support for hours purchased during 2008 are:

We can also
offer support on an ad-hoc basis. Our standard charge is £60.00 ex
VAT per hour + travelling charges.
Requests will be supported as soon as is possible but cannot
be guaranteed until the next business day.
All prices quoted on this website are exclusive of VAT at 17.5%
Where Cnik do not have the expertise in a particular aspect of a customers infrastructure or installed software base Cnik will discuss the options with the client prior to agreement of the support contract. Cnik may sub-contract the support of systems outside their expertise to selected and qualified partners or after consultation with the customer the support for the system may be contracted to a specialist third-party by the customer.
